Election Commission
The Election Commission is established under Section 8 of the Elections Act The purpose of the Commission is to advise the Chief Electoral Officer regarding the administrative conduct of elections. The Commission is composed of:
- a Chair, appointed by the Governor in Council for a term of 5 years; and
- 2 persons appointed by each of the leaders of a recognized party as defined in the House of Assembly Act for terms of 2 years each unless otherwise specified.
The Election Commission is composed of the following members:
